About Nancy T. Colantino, MA, CCC-SLP

Hi.  I'm Nancy, the Founder of West Orange Language & Literacy, LLC.  After over two decades in the field, my decision to start this business comes from a deeply personal place.  Throughout my career, I've seen the incredible impact that strong communication, language, and literacy skills can have on students' academic success, confidence building, social skills, and personal expression, just to name a few.  

Targeted areas of service include:

• speech - articulation, oral motor, motor speech, tongue thrust, and stuttering.

• language - listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

• pragmatics/social skills - understanding/using the social rules of communication and perspective taking. 

• Structured Literacy Reading Therapy - including Orton Gillingham, Wilson, Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LiPS), Lively Letters and others to help students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.

I'm a Florida licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  I'm a recipient of its ACE award for continued professional education.  I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders with a designation of summa cum laude from the College of St. Rose in New York and a Master of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida.

Now, with my own practice, I'm able to provide you with the personalized care and attention that you deserve.  I want to help you or your loved ones not just overcome challenges but thrive in language and literacy.  I can't wait to join you on your path to success!
